Tulsa Residents: Is This Your Money?

More than 825,000 Oklahomans have unclaimed property held by the Oklahoma State Treasurer, who wants to return the money that Oklahoma businesses turn to the owners and heirs.

All organizations are required to report to their state’s  Unclaimed Property division any funds unclaimed by their clients, customers, or employees.

Unclaimed property that belongs to you can be from cash, rebates, paychecks, royalties, stock and bonds, utility deposits, inactive savings or checking accounts, overpayments, refunds, funds for liquidation escrow accounts, and uncashed checks. There may be insurance proceeds due beneficiaries, royalties, safe deposit box contents such as jewelry, stamps, matured certificates of deposits, etc.     go here

Also, be sure to check under the names of your parents, grandparents and other relatives (one bachelor uncle left behind a nice and very unexpected amount).

The State Treasurer does not charge you to retrieve property that is rightfully yours!! Avoid anyone or any site that expects you to pay to ‘help’ you collect your own money! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Be sure to share this info with your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, fellow church members, etc!
